OXFORD, PA — A local maintenance worker has been charged with felony burglary and attempted theft after surveillance footage allegedly showed him unlawfully entering a tenant’s apartment earlier this month.
According to the Oxford Police Department, officers were dispatched to the unit block of Lancaster Avenue on the morning of July 7, 2025, after a resident reported a suspected burglary. The tenant told police they had reviewed home security footage and observed a man—identified as 58-year-old Curtis Peterson of Oxford—inside their apartment on July 3 without permission.
Peterson, an employee of the property owner, reportedly has authorized access to the building for maintenance purposes. However, investigators said there was no active maintenance request or emergency at the time of the alleged entry.
