LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Senior centers in Lancaster County will once again have extended hours as extreme heat returns to the Midstate.
The Lancaster County Office of Aging announced it will keep five centers open to give older adults a place to cool off. Extended hours start July 28 and continue through July 30.

- Elizabethtown Area Senior Center — 70 S. Poplar St., Elizabethtown — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Lancaster Rec Senior Center — 525 Fairview Ave., Lancaster — Monday and Tuesday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Millersville Senior Center – St. Paul Lutheran — 222 N. George St., Millersville — Monday and Tuesday 8 a.m. -2 p.m.
- Next Gen Senior Center — 184 S. Lime St., Quarryville — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- SACA Senior Center — 545 Pershing Avenue, Lancaster — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Officials also encouraged residents to use air-conditioned facilities such as libraries, schools, churches, malls, and community centers during extreme heat events…
