WERNERSVILLE, PA — A 34-year-old woman is facing theft charges after she was allegedly caught stealing a purse from a vehicle parked outside a Wernersville diner earlier this week, according to the South Heidelberg Township Police Department.
On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at approximately 11:06 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Red Plate Diner at 440 East Penn Avenue following a report of a theft involving a firearm. Upon arrival, police secured the weapon involved and detained all parties for questioning.
Through interviews and on-scene investigation, authorities say they determined that the suspect, identified as Lilian Maldonado, had allegedly taken a purse from a vehicle in the diner’s parking lot.
