Lancaster man pleads guilty to more than 200 offenses related to 2023 crime spree

LANCASTER, Pa. — A Lancaster-area man admitted to committing more than 200 thefts and burglaries over a three-month span in 2023, the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office said.

Johnathan Carlos Carmona, 29, of Lancaster Township, pleaded guilty earlier this month to 222 different offenses, including six counts of burglary, 61 counts of theft from a motor vehicle, 45 counts of identity theft, 15 counts of receiving stolen property and 13 counts of theft by unlawful taking, along with many other charges, prosecutors said.

Lancaster County Judge Merrill Spahn, who presided over the hearing on Aug. 5, will sentence Carmona on Nov. 17, according to prosecutors…
