Kia and Hyundai thefts continue to rise in Pennsylvania: officials

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Police in East Earl Township are warning residents and Pennsylvanians of an increase in thefts for Hyundai and Kia vehicles.

Though the thefts have been happening for a few years, what started as a TikTok trend has now led to Kia and Hyundai models being placed at risk due to a lack of anti-theft technology– engine immobilizers.
