York Co. nonprofits receive $35K in grants aimed at racial equity

YORK, Pa. — Three York County nonprofits will receive more than $35,000 in new funding aimed at reducing racial inequities across the community.

The York County Community Foundation announced the grants this week, coming from the racial equity fund. The grants are aimed at supporting projects focused on leadership development, education, financial literacy and cultural representation.

Leadership York was awarded $13,650 to expand leadership training for diverse young professionals, particularly York College Community Opportunity Scholarship Program alumni. Foundation officials said the grant will help increase representation in local governance and nonprofit leadership…
