Missing Boy Rescued After Hersheypark Guest Spots Him Walking on Monorail Tracks at the Amusement Park

A young boy was safely rescued from the monorail tracks at Hersheypark in Pennsylvania after getting separated from his parents.

The child was reported missing around 5:05 p.m. local time on Saturday, Aug. 30, according to a Hersheypark spokesperson. He had wandered away from his mother and later snuck into the monorail station, which was not operating at the time. The boy stayed in the area for about 20 minutes before climbing onto the monorail tracks.

“The ride was closed and secured with a chained closure at the entrance and a barricaded turnstile at the platform,” the Hersheypark spokesperson said.

“Our team members immediately responded after spotting him on the tracks, and at approximately 5:28 p.m., the child was safely reunited with his family. He was unharmed,” the spokesperson added…
