William “Will” Fenninger was involved in the accident on Thursday night, according to a letter sent to families by the Warwick School District. The teen had been placed on life support but, according to his stepmother, he passed away on Monday. She added that his final act of love was organ donation.
“This incident is incredibly heartbreaking, and we will all need time to process this information,” the district said.
In response to the tragedy, the school has provided grief support for students and staff over the long weekend and before the football game on Tuesday night. Students needing support were invited to meet with counselors at the Warwick Middle School cafeteria at 6 p.m…
