HARRISBURG, PA — Attorney General Dave Sunday announced charges against a 27-year-old Amazon employee accused of stealing more than $50,000 worth of merchandise from a distribution center in Bethel Township.
Nilson Peralta Rodriguez has been charged with felony counts of corrupt organizations, organized retail theft, and related offenses. Investigators allege Rodriguez repeatedly stole electronics while working at the facility, including 35 computer tablets and other high-value items.
Authorities said Rodriguez was caught this week attempting to leave the distribution center with 34 gaming memory sticks hidden inside his work helmet. Police believe he planned to sell the stolen goods on the secondary market for profit…
