Body of soldier killed in Laos during Vietnam War to be buried in Berea

The body of a soldier killed in Laos during the Vietnam War is being returned to the U.S. for burial in Berea.

The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) announced that U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Henry G. Gish, 25, of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, who was killed during the Vietnam War, was accounted for June 23, 2025.

On Thursday, SSG Gish’s remains will arrive at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. Kentucky State Police will lead a law enforcement procession transporting Gish’s remains to Berea where he will be laid to rest with full military honors…
