YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — The City of York is hoping to target vape shops selling to minors with a new ordinance, but even with widespread support, it did not pass Tuesday night at city council.
City council members tabled the legislation, saying they want to add more restrictions and enforcements for the current shops that are said to be selling kids vapes and drugs under the table.
Bill No. 25 includes a number of measures aimed at protecting kids, including banning minors from entering vape and smoke shops unless accompanied by an adult or guardian, mandating that new shops cannot open within 500 feet of schools and other places where children are likely present, and banning the sale of food, among others…
