Lancaster County teen charged with attempted homicide after shooting at park

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A Lancaster County teen is facing attempted homicide charges and will be charged as an adult after a shooting near a city park, according to to Lancaster City Police.

Jay-quan Williams, 16, is facing the following charges after a shooting on Wednesday:

  • Criminal attempted homicide
  • Aggravated assault
  • Reckless endangerment
  • Possession of firearm by a minor
  • Unlicensed possession of a firearm
  • Illegal possession of a firearm

Police say that officers were called to Culliton Park on the 200 block of Strawberry Street on reports of a shooting around 3:00p.m.

Investigators determined that Williams was the alleged shooter in the case and have since charged him as an adult…
