The Lancaster man whose encounter with Manheim Township’s off-duty police chief in April led to the chief’s firing secured a new plea deal Tuesday that removes several traffic convictions and fines related to the incident, but keeps others.
A Lancaster County judge signed off on a new plea agreement between the district attorney’s office and Benny Peña-Rivera, 25, who was stopped by former Manheim Township Police Chief Duane Fisher on April 30.
Peña-Rivera was arrested May 1 and charged with felony aggravated assault, evading arrest and six traffic offenses…
