After rain and gusting winds knocked out power for thousands of residences in central Pennsylvania on Wednesday night, more than 2,000 of those are still waiting for repairs into Thursday afternoon.
Statewide, more than 83,700 customers experienced power interruptions as a result of the storm, and more than 66,140 of them had their power restored as of 6 a.m. Thursday, said Jane George, a PPL spokesperson.
As of 4:20 p.m., PPL is reporting the following outages in central Pennsylvania:
- Dauphin: 1,070
- Cumberland: 69
- Juniata: 7
- Lancaster: 670
- Perry: 152
- York: 135
