Pennsylvania utility commission investigating Lancaster’s proposed water rate hikes

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) — Lancaster Bureau of Water must suspend a proposed rate increase that would have raised annual revenues by 30.2%.

The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission made the order Thursday, announcing it opened an investigation into the proposal that would have raised rates for customers living outside the city by more than $7 million.
