Pennsylvania authorities have released police body camera footage showing Lancaster paramedic Paramedic Melanie Kempf being stabbed multiple times after responding to a reported overdose, WJLA reports.
Police said the patient became agitated as Kempf and her partner tried to obtain his vitals. Moments later, the patient pulled out a knife, stabbing Kempf in the abdomen before grabbing an officer’s gun and firing, narrowly missing the medic. Officers then subdued the man, who was convicted of assaulting Kempf and sentenced to 14 years in prison…
