LANCASTER, Pa. — The City of Lancaster Bureau of Water issued a Boil Water Advisory for a portion of Lancaster on Wednesday, Nov. 12 due to valve work. The following customers are currently under the advisory:
- 100 through 146 Gentlemens Way
- 1886 Wabank Rd.
The City of Lancaster’s water system may be at an increased risk from microbial contamination due to a drop or loss of water pressure within parts of the distribution system. If your address is not listed above, you are not impacted by the advisory.
A drop/loss of water pressure is the result of a pipeline break or a pimp failure and can create conditions that could allow contamination to enter the distribution system through back-flow by back-pressure or back-siphonage.
If you live in the impacted area, bring all water to a rolling boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using; or use bottled water. You should use boiled or bottled water for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and food preparation until further notice…
