Williamsport, Pa. – Visible injuries prompted state police troopers to arrest a Hughesville man they allege made gun threats and beat a woman up.
Philip Lee Ruiz, 42, told the victim, “I could just shoot you right now” as they argued in the 12,000 block of State Route 220 in Shrewsbury Township, Trooper Brandon Hardiman said. The incident moved beyond the threat when Ruiz allegedly punched the woman in the head and face, causing her eye to swell and bruises to appear on her face, Hardiman added.
During an interview with police, the victim claimed Ruiz had multiple guns inside the home. She told police Ruiz pushed her to the ground, causing her head to strike off a table. She then sustained a laceration on her finger when Ruiz bit it, according to Hardiman, who could see a “considerable” amount of blood on the injury…
