Inmate Fredderick Hall Jr. Dies After SCI Fayette Incident

Fredderick Hall Jr., 42, was discovered during rounds, and staff immediately began life-saving measures before medical personnel arrived in the unit, the Department of Corrections said. Brownsville EMS continued advanced care as Hall was taken to UPMC Presbyterian, where he was pronounced dead on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 4:03 p.m., officials reported.

Hall had been serving a 5-to-11-year sentence for Possession of a Firearm Prohibited in Dauphin County and was transferred to SCI Fayette on Sept. 11, according to the DOC.

Per state policy, Pennsylvania State Police were notified and are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, the release stated. The Fayette County Coroner’s Office will determine the official cause and manner of death…
