UPMC Lititz delivers 4 sets of twins in 1 week: ‘Rare and memorable experience’

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Thanksgiving will be special this year for four local families who recently welcomed newborn twins—all born at the same hospital within the same week.

The twins were born this week at UPMC Lititz in a “rare and memorable experience for all,” the hospital said. The UPMC Magee-Womens unit delivered three sets of twin boys and one set of twin girls.

“We’re thrilled to share this extraordinary news during the Thanksgiving week of gratitude,” said Deborah Willwerth, president of UPMC Lititz, in a press release. “In my experience here, this is the first time I can remember having four sets of twins born in the same week. We’re just so grateful to serve our community, and we appreciate the trust families place in us to deliver their most precious gifts.”…
