Dover man accused of using names of slain NYCRPD officers to taunt another officer during weekend arrest

A York County man used the names of the three Northern York County Regional Police officers killed in the line of duty in September to taunt and threaten another police officer during an arrest last Saturday in Dover Township, authorities claim in charging documents.

Christian Meiler, 31, was being taken into custody Saturday night when he invoked the names of NYCRPD detectives Cody Becker, Mark Baker and Isaiah Emenheiser, who were shot and killed by a suspect in North Codorus Township on Sept. 17, in an effort to threaten and intimidate his arresting officer, according to police.

According to NYCRPD Officer B.C. Brandt, Meiler allegedly told him, “I hate every single one of you,” and said he hoped he would “end up like Becker, Emenheiser and Baker,” referring to the three officers killed in an ambush by Matthew Ruth earlier this year…
