YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Police in York County are warning the public of an alleged phone scam circulating through the area, where the suspect is reportedly pretending to be an official, and informing the victim that they have missed Jury Duty or another legal obligation.
Police said the suspect is reportedly claiming to be a Lieutenant with the York County Sheriff’s Department Civil Processing Division.
