Lower Providence man jailed for domestic assault, strangulation

NORRISTOWN — A Lower Providence Township man was jailed on charges that he strangled a romantic partner during an argument about money in his residence.

Frank J. Watson Jr., 38, of the unit block of Catfish Lane, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 11½ to 23 months in the county jail after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of strangulation in connection with the June 10, 2025, domestic assault.

Judge Risa Vetri Ferman, who accepted a plea agreement in the case, also ordered Watson to complete two years of probation consecutive to his parole, meaning Watson will be under court supervision for about four years…
