HARRISBURG, PA — A California man who crossed the country to sexually assault a 14-year-old girl in Blair County has been sentenced to a prison term of 75 to 150 years, Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced.
Don A. Robison, 44, of Milpitas, was convicted by a Blair County jury in February on three counts of unlawful contact with a minor, two counts of indecent assault of a child, corruption of minors, and criminal use of a communication facility. The sentencing judge classified Robison as a sexually violent predator, a designation reserved for offenders deemed to pose a continuing threat to the public.
Prosecutors said Robison was already a registered sex offender in California when he targeted the Pennsylvania victim. Investigators determined that he posed online as a 13-year-old child to befriend the girl, gradually gaining her trust through electronic communications…
