LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A juvenile was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Lancaster County on New Year’s Eve.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, Troopers responded to Churchtown Road near Mast Road in Salisbury Township at around 6 p.m. on December 31 for a report of a crash involving a pedestrian.
Troopers said a juvenile was riding a scooter south on Churchtown Road when a Dodge Caravan, also traveling south on Churchtown Road, struck them from behind. Troopers said the crash occurred when the vehicle failed to pass the scooter with caution.
