Travelle Martin ID’d After Dog Walker Finds Skeletal Remains

The remains were discovered in the Flying Hills community off Lakewood Drive in Cumru Township on Sunday, Dec. 28, when a person walking a dog reported seeing what appeared to be human remains, according to a joint release from the Berks County District Attorney’s Office and Cumru Township Police Department.

Cumru Township police officers responded along with detectives from the Berks County District Attorney’s Office and deputy coroners from the Berks County Coroner’s Office. The scene was secured and processed for potential evidence by the district attorney’s forensic services unit, authorities said.

Berks County Coroner Matthew J. Stitzel said the remains were examined by the coroner’s office with forensic odontologist Tammy Balatgek and forensic pathologist Dr. Neil Hoffman. Following that examination, the individual was identified as Travelle Martin, according to the coroner’s office…
