York County, P.A. — Thirty years later, the Blizzard of 1996 remains one of the most unforgettable storms in Pennsylvania history.

The massive winter system buried the Commonwealth under more than three feet of snow, shutting down roads, hospitals, and entire communities. For many, it’s a story passed down through family lore. For CBS 21 Meteorologist Ed Russo, it’s a memory that helped shape his childhood—and his career.
