LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Estimated costs for the new Lancaster County Correctional Facility come in just under $500 million.
The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners released preliminary designs and costs for the facility Tuesday. Potential costs ranged from $434 million to $497 million. However, commissioners have yet to approve a final plan, which can change during design development.
The draft design is a single-story facility with more than 1,000 beds across 22 housing units. It includes dedicated spaces for programming, treatment, counseling and video visitation.
