A grocery store chain with locations in central Pennsylvania has implemented facial recognition technology at some of its stores.
Wegmans confirmed in a statement it has deployed cameras to collect data in “a small fraction of stores that exhibit elevated risk.”
The Rochester, N.Y.-based chain didn’t say whether the technology is being used at its stores in Silver Spring Township, Cumberland County, and Manheim Township, Lancaster County…
