A man in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, faces multiple charges after allegedly assaulting police officers and medical staff. On Friday (January 9), police responded to reports of suspicious activity at a GIANT store on Lititz Pike in Warwick Township. Officers encountered 48-year-old Keith Ulmer, who was reportedly intoxicated and holding an open bottle of whiskey. Ulmer ignored officers’ orders and became combative, kicking one officer multiple times and attempting to bite another’s leg, according to CBS 21.

After being placed in a police cruiser, Ulmer allegedly continued his aggressive behavior, smashing his head against the vehicle’s interior. Emergency Medical Services were called to evaluate him, and he was transported to Lancaster General Health. At the hospital, Ulmer reportedly kicked a nurse and a security guard.
