Lancaster County man sentenced up to 15 years for stabbing, punching father: DA

A 45-year-old Lancaster County man this week was sentenced to up to 15 years in prison after he was convicted of stabbing his 80-year-old father, according to the county district attorney’s office.

On Dec. 10, 2024, Russell Woodrow “Woody” Adams-Nicholls, of West Lampeter Township, repeatedly punched and stabbed his father at a Manheim Township home, police said.

After punching his dad three times, Adams-Nicholls grabbed a knife and started to flail his arms around when “all of a sudden there was an enormous amount of blood” coming from his father’s neck, he testified…
