18-year-old headed to state prison for 2024 Lancaster shooting, prosecutors say

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A gunman who shot and injured a teen two years ago in Lancaster was sentenced to state prison.

William Martin, 18, will be spending the next three to six years of his life behind bars after being sentenced by Judge Thomas Sponaugle, the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office said.

Before sentencing, Martin pleaded guilty to a single count each of aggravated assault, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, firearms not be carried without a license, possession of a firearm by a minor and six counts of recklessly endangering another person, according to prosecutors.
