Officials call Rt. 222 crash cleanup ‘a lengthy operation,’ warn of continuing delays

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Clean-up from Thursday night’s U.S. Route 222 pile-up in Lancaster County is still ongoing, and officials said it will be “a lengthy operation.”

An accident between two tractor-trailers led to one trailer flipping onto its side and one person being treated for their injuries at the scene, according to dispatch. The injuries were said to be minor, according to officials, and no one was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

After the crash, Route 222 in Ephrata Township had only one operating lane as a result of the crash. Travelers can expect delays between Colonel Howard Boulevard and the Ephrata exit, according to Ephrata Pioneer Fire Company…
