Huge steel beams puncture tractor-trailer cab during York County crash

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Several huge steel beams crashed through a tractor-trailer cab when the driver came to an abrupt stop Monday morning in York County.

The driver was hauling a 42,000-pound load of steel beams when the crash happened on Lincoln Highway in Paradise Township around 8:23 a.m., according to a social media post by York County’s Office of Emergency Management.

When stopping, the load shifted, causing the beams to puncture the cab where the driver was, the post said.
