Bridge repair, maintenance work: PennDOT upcoming roadwork February 1, 2026

PennDOT District 5 advises that maintenance work is scheduled along US 222 in Berks County, between the Lancaster County line and PA 73. Crews will be working at various locations performing maintenance-related work, with daytime lane restrictions and flagging in place. The work is scheduled to run from Monday, Feb. 2, through Thursday, Feb. 5, between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Motorists should expect delays and use caution while traveling through the work zone. Rain may cause delays.

In Tilden Township, PennDOT maintenance forces will be conducting brush cutting along Interstate 78 between Exit 29 (PA 61) and Exit 23 (Shartlesville). The work will involve daytime shoulder restrictions from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., beginning Feb. 2 and continuing through Feb. 5. Drivers are advised to use caution when traveling through the area, and rain may delay operations.

A one-day brush cutting project is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 6, along Dunkels Church Road in Greenwich Township, between Crystal Cave Road and Kohler Hill Road.
