Father allegedly stabbed infant, tossed him into the snow in Coatesville

A judge delayed the arraignment of a 44-year-old man accused of stabbing his 3-month-old baby after he struggled to answer basic questions and asked God for forgiveness.

Michael Phillips was supposed to be arraigned late Wednesday night, but the judge did not proceed after observing Phillips’ condition. Officers then escorted Phillips out of the Coatsville Police Department and took him to Chester County Prison.
