Coatesville man succumbed to injuries hours after three-vehicle collision; separate crash minutes later resulted in citations
An 84-year-old man from Coatesville, Chester County, died Monday night from injuries sustained in a three-vehicle crash on Sumneytown Pike, Towamencin Police Chief Timothy Troxel confirmed.
The crash occurred at 11:58 a.m. between Mainland and Wambold roads and involved a 2019 Chevy Traverse, a 2013 Toyota Sienna and a 2005 Ford Taurus. Police said the Traverse, driven by a 77-year-old Coatesville man, was traveling in the wrong lane of traffic when it struck the Sienna head-on.
