Volunteer high school lacrosse coach, school board member to resign after allegedly hitting student with lacrosse stick

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A volunteer high school lacrosse coach plans to resign from the Eastern Lancaster County (ELANCO) School Board amidst allegations that he struck a student with a lacrosse stick.

According to West Earl Township Police, Bryan Naranjo, volunteer coach with the Garden Spot Boys Lacrosse team, allegedly pushed a student and struck them in the helmet with a lacrosse stick on Jan. 28.

Police had cited Naranjo with one count of harassment. However, a representative of the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office said the charge was withdrawn pending further evaluation regarding the grading of the offense…
