Two School District of Lancaster employees placed on leave after special needs student leaves school unattended

LANCASTER, Pa. — Two School District of Lancaster employees have been placed on administrative leave while authorities investigate an incident involving a special needs student who left Fulton Elementary School without supervision and walked several blocks before being found by a Good Samaritan last week.

According to an email sent to parents and guardians by School District Superintendent Dr. Keith Miles Jr., the school district is conducting “a comprehensive review of building-level procedures and individual supervision protocols” and cooperating with the investigation.
