Police: Lancaster man stole nearly $9,000 from girlfriend’s savings to buy heroin

LANCASTER, Pa. — A Lancaster man is facing theft charges after police say he stole nearly $9,000 from his former romantic partner and used the money to buy heroin.

Rey Medero-Garcia, 54, is charged with theft by unlawful taking after an investigation by Lancaster Township Police.
