Lititz police officers commended for quick actions during January house fire

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Three officers with the Lititz Borough Police Department are getting their roses after quickly leaping into action and helping to extinguish a house fire in January.

Around 2:17 a.m. on Jan. 24, officers were called to the 600 block of South Cedar Street. The three officers, Sgt. Tyler Weinoldt, Jevon Miller, and Sam Habbershon arrived at the scene within two mins of dispatch and found the back of the home on fire.

With fire extinguishers in hand, the three officers controlled the fire until the Lititz Fire Company arrived…
