POLICE: New Jersey man leaves car in local pond, checks into hotel

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — You can’t park there.

That’s what a New Jersey man learned when police in East Lampeter Township cited him for trespass by motor vehicle after he apparently left his car in a country club’s icy pond this week.

Photos posted by the department on Friday show a vehicle submerged in ice. Police said Sung Chun, 50, of Hoboken, walked away from the car on Wednesday after driving onto Lancaster Country Club and into the pond.

Chun, police said, checked himself into a local hotel. He returned the next morning to find police gathered around the vehicle…
