Public records and social media posts show the Chester County man who shot and killed a state trooper and then himself on March 8 was a father with a history of anti-police views.
Jesse Nathan Elks, 32, shot and killed Cpl. Timothy O’Connor, 40, after the officer stopped his vehicle around 8:25 p.m., according to Pennsylvania State Police. Authorities said Elks then got out of the car and killed himself with a semi-automatic pistol.
