Straight line winds rip roof off Lancaster County home during severe storms

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A powerful cold front that swept through central Pennsylvania brought heavy rain and damaging straight line winds.

Garden Spot Fire Rescue answered the call after 10 p.m. last night, where a roof was ripped off a brick farmhouse on South Custer Avenue.

At the scene, firefighters said they spoke with the homeowner and learned there were no injuries. Crews began assessing interior and exterior damage done to the home…
