Howard County police have charged Kathleen Amesbury, 28, of Columbia, and Dale Brown Jr., 25, of Hanover, PA, in connection with the 2025 death of Amesbury’s 3-year-old child. The child was taken by ambulance from a home in the 7200 block of Procopio Circle on March 26, 2025, with severe injuries and later died on March 28, 2025. After a year-long investigation, detectives determined the pair were responsible. They were arrested in Pennsylvania and face charges including second-degree murder, child abuse, involuntary manslaughter, and neglect of a minor.
