School bus driver arraigned on DUI charges in Douglass (Mont.) incident

DOUGLASS (Mont.) — A Berks County woman turned herself in to police on Friday to face charges that she operated a school bus in Montgomery County while she had elevated levels of alcohol and traces of the active ingredient of marijuana in her system.

Kelly Lynn Weber, 46, of the 1100 block of Montgomery Avenue, Colebrookdale Township, was arraigned before District Court Judge Maurice H. Saylor on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of metabolites of a controlled substance and 54 counts each of endangering the welfare of children and recklessly endangering other persons in connection with the alleged Feb. 6, 2026, incident that occurred in Douglass (Mont.) Township, as she transported dozens of Boyertown Elementary School students.

Saylor set Weber’s bail at $50,000 unsecured and she was released to await her preliminary hearing, tentatively scheduled for April 7.
