USPS and the National Safety Council award 3 drivers with Million Mile Safe Driver Award

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — The U.S. Postal Service and the National Safety Council presented three drivers with the Million Mile Safe Driver Award today in Lancaster County.

Letter carriers Daniel Hungler, Dennis Stevens and Mychail Mitchell were recognized during a ceremony in Elizabethtown. The award recognizes drivers who have one million miles or 30 years behind the wheel without a preventable incident.

Mitchell also celebrated his last day on the job on Tuesday, taking his recognition as one of USPS’ safest drivers into retirement. Mitchell shared that he loved delivering mail every day…
