Man drove 125+ mph with a 6-pack of Yuengling before crashing on Penn State campus: police

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Lower Swatara Township police arrested a Middletown man on several charges related to a reckless driving incident after issuing a warrant for his arrest on March 23.

Joshua Lugo was charged with:

  • Felony fleeing an officer
  • Evading arrest
  • Recklessly endangering another person
  • Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle

An affidavit acquired by CBS 21 revealed that, on Sept. 30, 2025, Lugo took on I-283 heading east after the police tried pulling him over.

He hit at least 125 miles per hour on the interstate, passing several vehicles along the way, before nearly taking out a parked car while trying to turn right onto Spruce Street…
