Man charged with violent rape of Lancaster County woman at Strasburg hotel will face trial

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A Mexican national accused of violently raping a woman in a Lancaster County hotel last year had his case proceed to trial following a preliminary hearing last month, the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office said Monday.

Jose Luis Izquierdo-Sanchez, a native of Cárdenas in the Mexican state of Tabasco, told police he was living in the United States illegally after his arrest for raping a woman at the Clarion Inn in Strasburg last December, prosecutors said.
