Columbia police offer tips to protect citizens from ‘world’s deadliest animal’ this spring

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — It’s spring, and Columbia police are offering tips to protect its residents from what the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) calls the “world’s deadliest animal.”

“The mosquitos are coming soon,” the police announced.

Columbia Borough officials have advised residents to protect themselves from mosquito bites by following “The Three Ds.”

Drain and eliminate all standing water on your property that could facilitate the breeding of mosquitoes. Water larvicides are also commercially available for water that cannot be drained…
